THE WHITE HOUSE COMMISSION

"This absolutely had nothing to do with politics or religion.

I'm not political at all... and I grew up with Hanukkah.

This is a huge honor and privilege. It's being part of history."

The White House commissioned Jenny to illustrate the book, "The Spirit of America, Christmas at The White House." The annual publication is distributed to thousands of visitors to The White House during the holiday season.

Jenny was personally selected by The First Lady, in part, because of her unique artistic process of creating artwork entirely by hand. Select illustrations from the book were featured on signage and invitations at The White House Christmas parties, and the original paintings are now part of the National Archives permanent collection.

The project received extensive media coverage, including a front page story in the The Detroit Free Press.

"We are truly impressed with your work and how wonderful

you have been to work with. You have been working so hard

and have put in so many long hours into this. We are so

grateful for all you have done Jenny. We can’t thank you

enough for your contribution to the White House holiday

season. So many people are stunned by your beautiful

artwork and it brings so much joy to each visitor who enters

the White House. Thank you again!”
