I Once Illustrated a Recipe for The White House: Classic Apple Pie

Several years ago, I had the unique honor of illustrating a Christmas book for The White House, and honestly… it still doesn’t feel real.

Flipping through the book now, I’m remembering all the tiny details I obsessed over — the kind of things only an artist would notice. Each illustration was hand-painted in watercolor in my signature style, the very reason I was commissioned for the project.

At the very end, they included something extra special: the Classic Apple Pie recipe from the White House pastry kitchen. Yep, straight from their chef to my paintbrush.
