Introducing the Sketch Series Originals: "Red Lobster"

I’ve spent the last several years focused on detailed commission work: custom home portraits, wedding gifts, family heirlooms. It’s meaningful, careful and always very precise.

But between those deadlines, I’ve found myself craving a little more room to play. So I started something new: The Sketch Series.

These are small original illustrations painted between commissions—looser lines, brighter colors, more spontaneity. They’re inspired by objects, places and people I find interesting. Each one is hand-drawn and painted and completely one of a kind.

First in the Sketch Series: “Red Lobster”

I didn't want to be the only artist online this summer who hadn't painted a lobster, so here it is, my take on the classic coastal favorite for the seafood lover in you. Painted with ink, watercolor and plenty of love.
