From the second we drove up to my client's private home in West Bloomfield, it was clear she goes all in when it comes to Christmas decor. In fact, as she led us upstairs to our guest portrait painting table, we were delighted to find each step of her staircase had a line from "The Night Before Christmas" printed on it (watch the video below to see!).
The live portrait paintings were a surprise for each of her employee to take home as guest favors from the company holiday party. And as a bonus, I also painted the host's grandchildren, who were there to assist with the festivities.
I didn't notice until the watercolor portraits were all laid out together at the end, but I love how they were all so color coordinated—the one with the reindeer antlers was definitely my favorite. And it was especially fun to paint with Christmas songs playing in the background!
