The Family That Plays Together, Stays Painted in a House Portrait Together

When this Huntington Woods client asked if I could illustrate their house and add their playful family into the scene, I absolutely agreed!

It's one of the questions I get most often about commissions: Can you combine a house portrait with a family portrait? The answer is yes, with a couple conditions.

I can't fit all of those elements into a smaller size piece. There just isn't enough room for everyone (and all of their personalities) to shine. But with a larger size--like this 16x20--and quality reference photos, I can happily bring the whole scene to life. People, pets, cars, front yard antics? I'm here for painting all of it.

This particular portrait turned out so joyful--dad and the kids playing in the yard, while the grandparents watch from the porch with the kind of smiles that say, this is what life's all about.
