When I first joined TikTok a few years ago, I occasionally posted videos of my process or commission paintings I was working on, but I never really took it seriously. Well my friends, that has changed, at least for now.
I was recently accepted into the TikTok Shop Creator program, which basically means I get free products from brands in exchange for trying them out and making videos to promote them. And if I happen to sell any of those products, I get a small commission on top of it.
Now if you're not familiar with TikTok Shop, it's almost like a mini Amazon, with tons of products in every category imaginable, including art supplies. So as you've guessed, I am now all in on entering my artist influencer era.
In just a very short time, I've already had brands reaching out to offer me FREE art supplies, including a paintbrush washer, a huge set of watercolor paints, acrylic paint markers (which I used to illustrate the cute pumpkin in the photo above) and a gigantic set of acrylic paint.
Would I have bought these items eventually? Probably! But if I can get them free just for creating one short review video, sign me up! The other bonus about shopping on TikTok is that brands often have flash sales and usually offer free shipping, plus TikTok has tons of daily coupons and deals.
