Go BLUE and Go BIG: Painting a Bloomfield Hills House Portrait

Some custom house portraits come together from a single snapshot. Others—well, they arrive with 75 photos and video clips, basically a full virtual tour. When I received a Google Drive folder bursting with every angle, architectural flourish and flower bed of this Bloomfield Hills, Michigan property, I knew I was in for something special.
This 16x20 watercolor was painted for a local client as a gift for her husband. From the stately stone chimney to the charming front entryway, every detail of this nearly one acre property was carefully illustrated to reflect the pride this family has for their home.
As a fun personal touch, we added a University of Michigan flag to the front of the house (I always love being asked to include a nod to my alma mater. GO BLUE!).
Note to future clients: one photo is plenty, but 75 definitely keeps things interesting!
