Love at First Slice: Turning a Pizza Bar Date into a Forever Painting

For their first anniversary, my client surprised her girlfriend with a custom watercolor painting of the place it all began: Buddy's Union Villa in Easton, Massachusetts. Known as Easton's oldest bar and grill--and allegedly serving up "the best bar pizza since 1974"--this spot was the scene of their very first date last spring.

The original reference photo? Straight from Google Maps... in winter! Picture piles of snow, bare trees and a parking lot full of cars that wasn't quite giving romantic vibes. But love is about seeing the potential, right? So I gave the scene a seasonal glow-up--goodbye icy ground, hello green trees and blue skies. I even added a special touch: the date of their anniversary is proudly on the sign out front.

Now it's more than just where they had their first date. It's a piece of their story, captured in paint, where it's forever spring and love is always in the air.
