Summer vacation is coming to an end and two of my three littles are preparing to start a new school year. How did these past few months fly by so quickly? I had so many plans that I never seemed to get around to! Are another Michigan winter and all the craziness of the holidays really just around the corner?
As we cling to the last days of summer, I thought it would be nice to capture one of our favorite family memories in a "quick" watercolor sketch. My sons, Benjamin and Oliver, were sitting together on the dock of Walnut Lake as they often do, while my daughter Sophie was taking her afternoon nap.
Looking through old photos isn't always the most entertaining, so I hope someday my kids find joy in sharing their mom's whimsical family illustrations with their own children.
