Some restaurants just have that irresistible glow. Dauphine’s in Washington, D.C., a New Orleans–inspired spot tucked inside the former Washington Post building, definitely fits that description. My client sent over a couple photos, and I decided to crop in close on the entryway — all glass, warm light and just enough evening drama to make it interesting.
"Jennifer did such an amazing job! I am so excited to give this as an engagement gift to a friend. Thanks Jennifer!"
This custom restaurant painting was commissioned as an engagement gift. Painting a nighttime scene in watercolor is always a fun challenge, especially capturing the warm glow coming from inside all those glass windows.
A little glow, a little romance and a lot of watercolor magic — the perfect gift for capturing a most special memory.
